For over a year I managed the Gurnick account for CPM in Concord, Ca. From fliers to mailings to environmental displays and custom printed day shades I managed an assortment of projects for this local educational resource.
When their marketing department needed a new line of advertisements to distribute across Contra Costa County and the Sacramento Valley they contracted us to build the message along with the images and graphics.
Working with the school’s administrative team I developed several concepts for directions they could take in their advertising. In the end, they wanted to demonstrate the diversity of their staff and student body along with the advanced teaching environment they had built.
To that end, I directed a series of photo shoots with their students that captured these elements utilizing their existing facility to keep costs down, and our in-house resources to keep all the work within our control.
The result was a series of images that became poster advertisements in local malls and on buses in the area. The postings that they mailed utilized the same artwork as did the flyers they distributed at dozens of special events.
Not only was I the Art Director for the campaign, I also handled the photography and the graphic design for the entire endeavor. Going through design reviews with the clients, gleaning their approval on the art, and managing the printing of the entire line of collaterals took over three months but ended in a campaign that the clients saw an immediate return on for the investment.
