Elements Message Testimonial Videos
Video Editor & Graphic Designer
A client came to me with a collection of videos he had taken with his iPhone. They were testimonials he collected from some of his repeat clients that he wanted me to edit into a presentation for his employees.
He had no idea how he wanted them presented, or even what he wanted to keep out of the seven 15 minute long conversations he had recorded. More than that, he wanted them shown on a standard landscape screen when the videos were shot in portrait format.
I took the collection of videos and after a quick review, I realized that he used a selection of questions to guide the testimonial responses, so I used those answers to give the video presentation a structure and used alternating positions of the talking heads to make more interesting use of the portrait shaped video on the landscape shaped stage.
The client was so happy with it, he had me produce several sub cuts that he used on his website and social media channels. The video was also distributed to other franchises in the company as an example of how they wanted testimonials videos cut and presented.
Sub Cut 1: The “relax” question.
Sub Cut 2: “What keeps you coming back?”
Sub Cut 3: “Why do you go?”
